Day 1: Arrival in Nairobi and Transfer to Maasai Mara National Reserve

Once at the Maasai Mara, check into your lodge or camp. After lunch, embark on an afternoon game drive to catch your first glimpse of the migration. Day 2: Full-Day Safari in Maasai Mara National Reserve

Start your day with an early morning game drive, the best time to see wildlife activity. The Maasai Mara offers a variety of wildlife, from the Big Five to herds of wildebeests and zebras, along with topi, elands, and gazelles. Day 3: Maasai Mara National Reserve

Another day to explore the Maasai Mara. After breakfast, head out for a morning game drive. Depending on the season, you might witness a river crossing, where thousands of wildebeests and zebras brave crocodile-infested waters. Day 5: Full-Day Safari in Serengeti National Park

You can choose a full-day game drive with a picnic lunch or a combination of morning and afternoon drives. During this time, you might witness the migration and its associated predators, like lions and cheetahs. As the day draws to a close, enjoy the tranquil sunset over the plains. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 6: Serengeti National Park

On your final full day in the Serengeti, you have the flexibility to explore more of the park. Start with an early morning game drive, then return for breakfast. You can opt for another full-day safari or split your time with a break at the lodge. The Serengeti is also home to scenic kopjes (rocky outcrops) that are perfect for spotting leopards and lions. In the afternoon, you can visit the Serengeti Visitor Center to learn about the park’s history and conservation efforts. Conclude the day with dinner at the lodge and an evening of relaxation.

Day 7: Serengeti to Nairobi and Departure

After breakfast, check out and transfer back to Nairobi, where you’ll catch your return flight. Depending on your schedule, you might have time for a final game drive in the Serengeti or explore the Ngorongoro Conservation Area en route. Once in Nairobi, you’ll be dropped off at the airport for your departure, concluding your incredible 7-day adventure following the Great Migration.
